NCF’s 2012 Seedling  Sale This Weekend!

Join us at the Farm on Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th for our popular sale!   There will be 20,000 hearty vegetable and herb seedlings for sale, including a wide variety of each.  Come select plants for your backyard and talk to expert gardeners who will be on hand to answer your questions.  Please bring boxes for carrying your plants.  Help us spread the word about the sale.  All are welcome!

Hours:     General Public 1-3 p.m.   Friends of the Farm  pre-sale  noon – 1 p.m.

Cost:       $5 per four or six pack.   Cash or checks only.  


Need to raise $5,000 to rebuild the Farm Stand!

As you may have seen or heard, our on-site farm stand on Winchester St burned down early in the morning of February 25th  (click news articles for more information).  Newton Community Farm is now calling on our generous supporters and the wider community to raise $5,000 to rebuild the farm stand (click plans to read more about our next steps). Tax deductible donations can be made here.   Or, send checks made out to “Newton Community Farm”  to Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Street, Newton MA 02459.    Thank you for your interest, support, and donations!

About Us

We are a non-profit community farm located on the historic Angino farmstead in Newton, MA.  We strive to benefit the community by

  • Providing locally-grown produce through our CSA, our farm stand, and Newton Farmers’ Markets
  • Educating the public about the sustainable use of land and other natural resources through hands-on classes, workshops, and drop-in farm hours
  • Preserving Newton’s last working farm as a historic site and valuable open space
  • Connecting gardening enthusiasts through events and networking opportunities

A portion of the food grown on-site is donated to people in need through the Newton Food Pantry.
